Rhombus has introduced the DC10 Single-Door Controller, a compact, cloud-managed access control device aimed at enhancing security and connectivity for individual door environments. This new solution integrates directly with Rhombus’s cloud-based security platform, allowing for remote management and monitoring of doors, as well as the capability to initiate lockdowns when necessary.
The DC10 is engineered to be versatile, featuring one wet/dry relay, one auxiliary dry relay, and four inputs that can be supervised or unsupervised, facilitating functions such as request-to-exit and door position monitoring. Its design, rated IK08 for durability, is suitable for installation in a variety of settings, including offices, retail spaces, and other locations where a multi-door system might not be feasible.
Equipped with 90 W PoE++ and PoE passthrough capabilities, the controller can deliver both power and connectivity through a single cable, and it supports the addition of a nearby camera. The device also connects seamlessly with Rhombus’s environmental, intrusion, and motion sensors, as well as panic buttons, boasting a line-of-sight range of up to 100 meters.
With both Ethernet and Wi-Fi connectivity, the DC10 ensures continuous cloud access, enabling operators to manage doors remotely without the need for an on-site server. This feature makes it particularly beneficial for smaller or distributed locations, simplifying the installation process and reducing infrastructure demands.
