AndaSeat has unveiled its Phantom 4 Series, an ergonomic seating solution designed to accommodate the natural movements people make during activities like working, gaming, and reading. Recognizing that users seldom maintain a single sitting position for prolonged periods, AndaSeat’s design aims to provide consistent support while allowing for natural shifts in posture.
A standout feature of the Phantom 4 Series is its Dynamic Auto-Tracking Lumbar system. This system offers users customizable lumbar support with 15 locking positions across a 0–95 mm adjustment range. Once set, the lumbar structure can swivel about 5 degrees to each side and tilt through a 25-degree forward-and-back range, ensuring continuous contact as the user moves.
The chair’s design combines this responsive lumbar support with a seat made from 55 kg/m³ cold-cure foam, creating a stable base. Both the Phantom 4 and Phantom 4 Pro models provide up to 135 degrees of backrest recline and approximately 15 degrees of rocking motion, allowing users to change their seating position intentionally.
Differences between the models include the level of manual adjustment available. The Phantom 4 includes 2D armrests with forward-back and vertical adjustments, an adjustable memory-foam head pillow, and a butterfly tilt mechanism. The Phantom 4 Pro model adds 3D 360-degree rotating armrests, expanded adjustment ranges, and a multifunction tilt mechanism with a tilt-lock feature.
AndaSeat’s design philosophy centers on providing a stable foundation that adapts to the user’s movements rather than controlling every motion. The Phantom 4 Series aims to strike a balance between stability, user-controlled adjustment, and mechanical responsiveness, reflecting how people naturally sit during extended periods of work or play.
